IRLP Access to FM38

Author: John Flanagan - Published 2006-01-15 16:59 - (3742 Reads)
Although FM38 is an IRLP connected system (#4606), our IRLP system is not publicly controllable for outbound connections and is passcode protected.

We are normally “nailed up” to the Indiana REF9200 channel 4. This full-time link is for the time being used to integrate the Alden, North Praire and Cambridge systems into our network.

If you wish to access FM38 via IRLP inbound, simply connect to #9204.

EchoLink on FM38

Author: John Flanagan - Published 2006-01-15 12:49 - (4161 Reads)
We have had many requests for EchoLink access to FM38. Although we are listed in the ))EchoLinkdirectory, access to FM38 viaEchoLink(( is not enabled.

Since ))EchoLinkis used primarily on a windows platform, occassional lock-ups can leave the transmitter keyed indefinitely. The only fix is to exit and re-load theEcholink(( program. When a solution to this problem is found, we may consider implementing a full-time repeater link.

FM38 Receive Site Status

Author: John Flanagan - Published 2006-01-15 12:40 - (3798 Reads)
Remote receive site “F” (Menomonee falls) is down. This site will not be brought back up because we have decided not to renew our arrangement with the tower site owner.

Remote receive site “U” (UWM/Milwaukee east side) site has been temporarily disabled due to an observed audio level imbalance with the other sites. We will re-enable it as soon as the audio levels are re-adjusted.

Hi Folks,

Emil will be uploading some pictures he and Bob took on Saturday as they worked to repair the $1.98 fuse holder that was the culprit in the FM38 outage last week.

Speaking of photos, if anyone has some interesting photos to share on this site, feel free to upload them to your personal MyTiki/My Files area and send a message to Emil or myself (kc9eeq) and we’ll help you make them available.
